Mauritius is a well-established international financial services jurisdiction that serves as a portal for investment between Africa, Asia and Europe. Rogers Capital is a key player in the Mauritian financial services sector and offers a range of investment services, expertise and structuring capabilities with a well-established track record within a jurisdiction that is rapidly growing in stature. The service offering of Rogers Capital comprises asset management, wealth management, private equity and corporate advisory.
A unique platform to invest in Africa and Asia
With more than 20 years of operation, Rogers provides an investment execution platform for global funds as well as structured investment products focused on the African and Indian financial markets for institutional and private investors. Rogers Asset Management was the first asset manager in Mauritius to be approved as a Foreign Institutional Investor by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and offers third-party sub-account services to investors in the Indian financial markets.
Amidst an environment craving for new investment opportunities and marked by the emergence of Africa, Rogers Private Equity offers private equity fund management services with focus on Africa. The company relies on a team of highly-experienced finance professionals with in-depth knowledge of African realities to identify investment opportunities with significant value-creation potential.
Foreseeing that corporates in the US, Europe and Asia will increasingly de-risk their investments with an eye on expansion into Africa, Rogers Corporate Advisory focuses on advising and assisting large companies and financial sponsors of the Sub-Saharan African region in equity and debt capital market transactions as well as mergers & acquisitions.
Rogers took a major new step on 30 June 2012 by joining forces with a market leader in the insurance industry in Mauritius, the Swan Group. Rogers now has a 37.8% shareholding in Intendance Holding Limited, which controls both Swan Insurance Company Limited and The Anglo-Mauritius Assurance Society Limited. As part of this merger process, the fund management and brokerage activities of Rogers and The Anglo-Mauritius Financial Services Limited were brought together under the control of a new Swan subsidiary, The Anglo-Mauritius Financial Solutions Limited, in return for a 20% Rogers stake in the new company.
