Rogers and Company Limited owns an effective holding of 17.6% in New Mauritius Hotels Limited, one of the largest market capitalisations on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. A pioneer in the industry, New Mauritius Hotels operates 8 hotels in Mauritius and a refined beach resort in the Seychelles under the Beachcomber brand as well as an airline catering unit. The Company is also engaged in tour operating activities through its foreign subsidiaries.

Air Mauritius

Rogers and Company Limited acted as a catalyst in the launching of Air Mauritius in 1967 by gathering the expertise required for the implementation of the project. Rogers has retained an effective holding of 13.5% in the national carrier, which today serves more than 25 destinations over continents.

Lafarge and other activities

The contribution to the Group’s results from most associates remains positive, but lower than last year. The share of profit from Lafarge (Mauritius) Cement Ltd rose on account of an exceptional profit from the sale of its investments.
