Hospitality
Rogers pioneered the Tourism industry in Mauritius with the inception of the legendary hotel group, Beachcomber Hotels in 1962, and our national carrier, Air Mauritius, in 1967, igniting a sector that would fuel Mauritius’ economic growth for years to come. Rogers continues to create game-changing opportunities to attract international tourists and showcase the island’s people, culture and iconic sites. From travel agencies to tour operators, hotels and airlines - combined with the impeccable, legendary Mauritian hospitality - Rogers sustains growth in tourism revenue.
Rogers’ 20 % investment in the sector’s total room capacity, 20 % stake in New Mauritius Hotels - which operates under Beachcomber - and 13.5 % stake in the national airline makes us an industry game-changer. In the Hospitality sector, Rogers’ three subsidiaries are: Veranda Leisure & Hospitality (VLH), which includes two hotel brands - a total of 802 rooms - and the oversight of 42 luxury villas; Rogers Aviation, which acts as the local sales agent for the world’s top airlines and an array of travel and transportation services; and Rogers Leisure - leisure activities, which drive additional sales.
