Rogers Capital Technology Services is recruiting an IT Support Technician

Outline of job role and purpose

  • To efficiently resolve customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction and troubleshooting while working closely with other technicians and/or engineers, and maintaining good customer relationship at all times
  • To take ownership and do close follow up on support tickets
  • To provide excellent customer service, use organizational skills and technical know-how to ensure our SLA’s are met
  • To support and maintain existing systems
  • To perform all required monitoring of systems and processes and report accordingly
  • To perform any cognate duties


Candidate profile and qualifications

  • A certificate/diploma in IT, Electronics or Telecommunication
  • A minimum of two years’ work experience in a networked Windows Server Environment
  • A working knowledge of LAN, including wireless LAN, and understanding of the concepts of WAN and VPN
  • Above average technical skills that can be applied to problem solving in high pressure environments, together with excellent communication skills
  • The willingness to learn new technologies and be able to share this knowledge with a team, both verbally and by written documentation

  • Pleasant and outgoing personality and display excellent inter-personal skills to positively interact with our staff and customers
  • Proactive and self-driven, with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written in English and French
  • Able to work odd hours
  • Clean driving license would be an advantage
