We have heard countless times about the disastrous impacts of plastic on our natural environment – from microplastics and nanoplastics in our oceans to the land pollution in every nook and cranny around the world, let alone in our country.
Plastic Free July® is a key initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation that encourages people to ditch plastic and rethink their consumer habits.

Recently, with the single-use plastic ban in Mauritius, we have seen a swap for non-plastic packaging. We do, however, realise that there is so much more that we could be doing at the individual level!
If you are still looking for ways to up your game, here is some advice.
Prioritise bulk buying. At Rogers, we care for the planet and care for our employees. We have approached bulk buying shops that will soon offer products at a discounted rate to all Rogers employees who are ready to take the leap.
Fancy ordering a takeaway? Bring your own containers, preferably a glass bowl or stainless steel canister. Hint: make sure you always have a spare container in your car whenever possible.
Spread the word. Let people know that you care – imitation is after all the sincerest form of flattery!
Those colourful balloons and confetti are fun, but they really do pollute. Are they necessary for just a few hours? Find creative ways to decorate your party. That could even be a fun activity for kids and guests.
Audit your bin – check what kind of waste could be avoided and challenge yourself to keeping that volume as low as possible.
