Vivacis Solidarity Fund – Guidelines
The COVID-19 pandemic is worsening day by day with an exponential increase in the number of cases across the world, including Mauritius. The effects of this triple crisis – health, social and economic – are now being deeply felt.
The Vivacis Solidarity Fund forms part of the Vivacis Resilience Program of the Rogers Group in the fight against COVID-19. The Fund is established to mobilise resources to tackle the health, economic and social crises arising therefrom and in Mauritius.
The main objectives of the Vivacis Solidarity Fund are to alleviate the sufferings and support the most vulnerable people and communities. Part of the funds will go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Fund launched by the Government on 26 March 2020.
The funds will be sourced from voluntary contributions by Directors of Rogers & Co Ltd and/or its subsidiaries; employees of the Rogers Group, any organization, whether local or international, and forming part of Rogers Group or otherwise and any individual whether related to Rogers Group or not.
For each Rs 1 contributed by employees, the Employer will contribute 20 Cents (i.e. 20%) to the Vivacis Solidarity Fund.
Participation is on a purely voluntary basis. The Fund shall be managed by the representatives of the Rogers Foundation Ltd. A representative of the employees shall further be added on the management committee of the Fund.
Transparency and accountability are key to ensure a proper management of the Fund. Accordingly, the accounts of the Fund along with details of donations will be published online on the Vivacis webpage.
