As of the 1st of August 2022, Arvin Halkhoree has been appointed as Chief Legal and Compliance Executive of Rogers and Company Ltd.

Arvin will be heading the legal services, company secretariat, compliance and AML/CFT functions of Rogers. His prior experiences include a Partner position and Senior Associate position at Jurisconsult Chambers and a Managing Director position at NS Management Ltd, from 2010 to 2014. Arvin also had a legal practice between 2008 and 2010 as part of Citilaw Chambers (which emanated from Juristconsult Chambers).

He holds a Master’s degree in Law with a specialisation in Computer and Communications Law from the Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Mauritius. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialisation in Financial Services from the University of Mauritius.

His areas of expertise include Corporate, Commercial, Aviation, Technology, Telecommunications and Financial Services law, as well as Compliance and AML/CFT, with considerable experience both locally and internationally.

Drawing on his deep knowledge of emerging technologies – including FinTech, Blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs – he has advised several clients on the legal and regulatory aspects.

Arvin was a member of the Bar Council of Mauritius in 2017 and 2018. A registered trainer with the Mauritius Qualifications Authority, he regularly lectures for Continuous Professional Development courses to law practitioners at the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies.
